prancing down the street
wearing calico mittens
on their argyle feet

I'm bleeding on the outside, but deep inside I'm fine
I wear razors on my eyelids most all of the time
That bloodstain on my sleeve is just worn for a friend
I swear it's all the truth, he's just waitin' 'round the bend
Romeo's in hiding and Juliette's a whore
after the tiniest taste she just had to have more

But I had to laugh, 'cuz I've had 'em once or twice
and out of all honesty, neither was that nice
Rimbaud looks unexciting, but he's the one you want
He'll cut your eye with glass and pretend it wasn't his fault
HIs innocent look will make you give in
He'll tel you it's all heaven, when you know it's just a sin

My head's a molten montage of dark disdainful thought
I smoked so many cigarettes, man, my fingernails feel hot
My stomach's warm with whiskey and my eyeball's filled with gin

I'll make an eager waitress and all above is fine

Now Pedro's become impatient with his fifty grams of fat
He thought it was a beehive, but know he's not sure where it's at
The jive is moving slowly and crawling down my back
I fucked them in the alley and I said I was a cat
He held on the ladies, but he really liked the guys
He wore a chiffon overcoat and lightning on his eyes
